Rug Care

How to care for your art...

All my pieces are handmade, making each piece unique. As everything is handmade by myself the pieces are first and foremost intended as art.

Rugs for example are not designed to be functional rugs and are intended for decor purposes only.

However if you do intended to utilise your rug, like placing it on the floor, please follow the below care instructions ☻

DO'S

Do admire your art

Do spot clean with a lint roller and damp cloth.

Do carefully snip any loose fibres

Do hoover on a low setting.

DON'TS

Don't vacuum on a high setting

Don't put in the wash

Don't place in high traffic areas

Don't soak in water.

LOOSE FIBRES?

It is possible that over time there may be some loose fibres, if so please carefully snip them with scissors.

Do not pull them.

I RECOMMEND

An anti-slip mat.

If you're placing your rug on the floor I recommend this as it will help prevent slipping.

SIMPLE CARE

Blot any spills immediately with a clean. dry white cloth.

DO NOT RUB.

Also use a lint roller for those loose fibres

Hoover

HOOVERING

Tufted rugs are created with loops of yarn that are pulled through the rug’s backing material using a tufting gun. Tufted rugs shed more than other rugs and may require more-frequent hoovering.

Use a low setting on your hoover.
